Looking for a permanent, loving home...
The cats on this page are all being cared for in our foster homes around the Greater Portland area while they wait to be adopted. Many of these cats are recent mothers whose litters have all grown and been adopted and now they are looking for their forever homes; some weren't happy in the shelter environment and preferred a quieter place to spend their days; and others just needed attention and TLC. Cats in foster care are generally faster to adapt to their adopted home because they have been living in a home environment. Sharmin and Coco Mae- Adult females
Beautiful Sharmin is a Coon mix tortie/patch tabby lady who is about three years old. Her foster mom describes her to be a model - tall and gorgeous! She is living in foster care and turning into a real love. She has become best buddies with the lovely Coco Mae, a half Himmie and half Siamese lady. She is simply stunning, and these two play and groom each other, and have been wonderful to each other in learning to trust and love again. You will not meet a more gorgeous pair of ladies who are gentle and sweet, and who deserve a very special home.

Skilly - Adult female
Skilly is a beautiful princess who wants to be the center of attention. She loves being pet and pampered and is quite the love bug! She is currently in foster care to help manage her weight. Skilly would be happy in most home environments, including other pets if introduced slowly. |
Jessie- Adult female
Jessie is a beautiful adult female with striking markings and features. We believe that she is part Bengal. She comes to you from a loving foster family where she has socialized with adults, older kids and other cats and kittens.When Jessie becomes familiar with you, she is very warm and loving. She has a calm personality and although she has shared space w/ other cats, she prefers interaction w/ people and she likes to have space and free roaming. Ideally Jessie would thrive best in an atmosphere where she is the only cat in the home or in a home of not more than two. She does enjoy being in the same room with you and will sit beside you purring, and loves to be petted. She also adores the end of your bed! She is playful when you initiate play. |

Snufferina-Young female
This soft and silky young lady is quite light in weight for one born last summer...but not without an abundance of energy...flying around the house with the help of her extra large front paws and boundless enthusiasm. She sounds "snuffy" and has taken extra time to recover from a big case of upper respiratory, but almost through it. Snuffy may always breath a little noisily and need an antibiotic periodically, but more like someone living with allergies than sick. She engages in play with all the other household kitties and loves to receive kisses and curl up in her bed next to you when it is bedtime.

P.G. - Adult male
PG is an 8 year old boy who was brought to us by a caring vet tech as he was sadly being abused. PG does well with other cats, but needs to be in a dog-free home as he is terrified of them! This guy has soft and silky black and white short hair and piercing blue eyes. He is affectionate, but tentative, so needs a little time to warm up to you. Please consider giving this guy a new lease on life that he so deserves! |
Sweetie- Young female
Sweetie is just that...a great young kitty with a very outgoing and loving disposition. She is an all black kitty who isabout 2 years old most likely. She came to HART as a stray with her three kittens who have all found homes. Sweetie lives with other cats and a dog in her foster home and is just a great kitty according to her foster mom. Levi- Baby male
Levi is an adorable 4 1/2 month old boy who is now looking for his forever home. He is a classic tuxedo in looks, with short hair, and definitely part Siamese in his actions. This kitten will chirp and talk to you, his feline friends, and the toys he plays with. he hates to be alone, and wants to be right in the middle of all the action. He lives happily with other cats and two large dogs. Levi is affectionate and loving, playful, and very very smart. He has snow white whiskers and eyebrows that stand out on his dark face.His body structure is long and lanky and he uses his front paws almost like human hands.Levi will make a great companion kitty, and LOVES his humans so please call to arrange a meeting today!

Mango-Baby female
Mango is a very personable and cute short hair orange tabby girl who will be ready for her new home around Labor Day. Mango was the only kitten to survive in her litter, and was rescued when she was just 4 weeks old from a very tough situation. She was cold, and sick, and needed to be bottle fed and cleaned up, and given some TLC. Well, this little girl has just blossomed. Mango is soft and silky now, with big gold eyes and an almost nonstop purr machine. She lives in her foster home with older cats, two big dogs and another HART kitten Levi. Although she is the youngest, this little girl is not afraid of a thing! As a matter of fact she can be quite feisty and independent, but still a little love bug. She will snuggle in all night with you, and loves to be petted. Mango has HUGE double paws, and is an all around great little girl.

Savannah-Young female
Savannah is a very pretty young dilute calico lady with short fine hair, and big double paws up front. She is very very social and lives with another cat and a dog in her foster home. She has raised five kittens who are also ready to go, and is now ready for her new home. Savannah does love to be "the boss" according to her foster mom, but in a good way. She is not aggressive at all, but just very sure of herself. Savannah will be somewhat sneaky about human food left where she can get to it. Despite her petite frame ....she LOVES to eat. That seems to be her only fault though as she is friendly and affectionate. She does love her catnip too! Please come to meet this great kitty, and maybe consider adopting one of her adorable kittens as well.

Schooner and Skiff- Young males
Are you looking for a pair of fluffy little babies? These two are very friendly and loving and certainly fit the bill as far as being long hair babies! Schooner is the adorable all gray boy and his brother, Skiff is the handsome all black guy. These two are about 7months old now and just recently returned to us due to their owner's serious illness. They have never been separated and we want them to be able to find their new loving home together. They love to be brushed, and are full of energy. Please come to meet this handsome pair of little guys!

Cougar- Baby male
Cougar is what we affectionately call a cow kitty. He is a soft medium hair black and white 14 week old kitten looking for his forever home. he is used to other cats and a dog, and lives with his brother Lee. They don't have to go home together, but wouldn't that be fun!? Cougar is a bit more independent than his brother, but friendly and playful as can be. Both boys are all set to go to their new home so please call soon to meet them

Drew - Baby male
This nice 4 month old boy is still waiting for his forever home. Drew is soft and fluffy with mostly white hair that has a few patches of gray in it. Drew is affectionate and playful. He takes a minute or two to get to know you before relaxing, but is a very nice kitty. He would love to find a home with another cat in it to play with. Please call to meet this nice guy soon

Jack and Minnie - Baby male and female
Jack is an adorable little Russian Blue mix boy who is in foster care with his sister, Minnie. Jack is a friendly guy who loves to chirp and play. He is about 14 weeks old and all set for his forever home. Minnie is a glossy all black little lady who is a little more on the timid side, and would do best in a new home with her brother, Jack who would make her feel more secure. Please consider this adorable pair for your very own. |
Linden-Baby female
Linden is a very cute little 4 month old kitten looking for her forever home now. She is all set to go and is a sweet little girl. Linden has very classic tuxedo looks and is friendly y and sweet as can be. She loves to play and is used to other cats in her foster home. She would make a great companion to another cat in your home, and would adjust easily to most situations as she is fairly laid back.

Tiffany- Baby female
Here's Tiffany ! She's one of four nine-week-old kittens and is looking for her forever home. . She lives with her sisters, Beatrice and Tina, and her one brother, Kenzo. These four babies are wonderful affectionate kittens. They frolic and play all day, and then fall asleep together in a litter pig pile. It would be wonderful if you adopted two together, because really, what is more fun than watching kittens play? |
